Search engines are important. You need to be sure your website appears under your company name (i.e. Google “Jaymunda”) and that people can find you. But do you really need to come up under generic searches like “website design”? Search engine marketing can be expensive ($500-2000/mo and up!) and you have a global market of competition.

I always say, the best search engine optimization is when someone types your name directly into the address bar- you get to skip ALL the competition. Why not hand out more business cards? (5 cents apiece!) There are great opportunities through your local chamber of commerce and organizations like BNI. Remember- people ultimately buy from PEOPLE.
