How can I drive traffic to my website and get more individual recognition?

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

Join a community website like www.fastpitchnetworking.com and make your profile hot! I like Fast Pitch (not an affiliation, we just like it)  because it has a great community and it gives you the opportunity to submit online news releases for free or low cost- then hundreds if not thousands of people will find you and your website through the links in the article.

What kind of content is important on my website?

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

Make sure you have technical product information on your website! Some people aren’t interested in this and they’ll just skip over it, but other, more detail-oriented people are very interested! Not having the details can count against you because it tends to make detail-oriented people more frustrated and they’ll seek out a competitor that gives them the knowledge they crave.

BNI Connect and BNI Connection

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

We’re only a week away from launching the largest BNIConnection rollout ever. The entire Referrals4Life branch of BNI has decided to foot the bill and let all of its 4,000 members use the system at no additional cost! We’ve had a few complications along the way, but I can sufficiently say that after about 2 years of beta testing and 4 years of experience with this system, I’m pretty proud of what we’ve accomplished here! BNI Connect is helping members become more successful with their BNI membership than ever before.

If you want to connect with a BNI member, simply go to www.bniconnection.com and click on the Trade Directory.

We’ve also made a number of great strides toward accessibility on this site. BNI Franchise owners can use the BNI Connect website for free! We collect fees from the chapters themselves in order to pay for the ongoing website development. I am quite excited, so check out www.bniconnection.com today!

The cure for the common cold call

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

Each week I receive an email from Jeffrey Gitomer- it’s full of sales tips and information and the one thing that I always click on is his “Sales Rant” – even if I don’t read anything else. The Sales Rant is a video with Jeffrey Gitomer speaking for a few short minutes about marketing and sales.

This week he talked about how ineffective cold calls are. I agree. I can honestly say that in the almost FIVE YEARS Jaymunda has been in business, I haven’t made a single cold call! My business has flourished as a result of Referrals and referral-based marketing.

I actually started out my sales career doing door-to-door sales to businesses in and around Philadelphia selling Long Distance Phone Service. Go figure. No one liked seeing this kid in a suit walk into their business, while they’re busy doing other things (like making money for their business), and being told that their decision to choose their long distance carrier was wrong and that I had a better offer. I may have, I can’t remember. But it wasn’t fun to be told to ‘get lost’ all day.

When I started Jaymunda, I wanted to create a company that helped people achieve what they wanted. It’s actually fulfilling because I do get to do that and be a part of my clients success.

In his Sales Rant this week, Jeffrey Gitomer also mentioned that it’s important to get out and network- to meet people who you might do business with- or even better: to refer business to. The motto of BNI is “Givers Gain.” So true, time and time again.

How can I give people a reason to go to my website?

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

Example: doctor’s office with intake forms to save their patients time before their visit. On Jaymunda.com, we have information on how to set up your email account. It’s simple, but keeps people visiting. What information can you give your clients to help them out?

What is Jaymunda Up To?

Tuesday, March 10th, 2009

At Jaymunda, we’re constantly thinking about how we can serve our clients more effectively. We listened to your feedback and learned that many people ask a very simple and common question: “I have a Website, now what?”

We want to help you get the most out of your website, so we redesigned our email newsletter to give you more information and help you maximize your profit potential! Each week you will receive one, short email containing a tip related to websites and marketing.

We’ll kick off the series soon, so stay tuned!

Best Regards,
